Wilkins Chimney Sweeps are nice people!

We're nice people!

That's really important to us. Our sweeps are personable and passionate about their work, and most have been trained on interacting with people who have dementia or disabilities.

We pride ourselves on our core values of reliability, cleanliness and exceptional standards

We provide a professional, fully insured chimney sweeping service for all types of chimney, using brushes and a vacuum, and where appropriate rotary power sweeping equipment, to keep your property as clean when we leave as it was when we arrived.

Our network of sweeps operate in their local communities from Whitley Bay to West Sussex, and are fully trained to handle:

  • Open fires

  • Woodburning stoves

  • Jetmasters

  • Rayburns

  • Agas

  • Biomass Boilers

  • All other types of flue where provision
    has been made for sweeping

We also provide a range of related services such as fitting cages, caps & cowls and removing nests & other blockages. In addition, we can supply you with  carbon monoxide alarms and other high-quality products.

It is important to have your chimneys swept regularly (at least annually) to remove soot and other debris. This helps keep you protected from potential chimney fires and carbon monoxide poisoning from a blocked flue. It also ensures that you comply with the conditions of your buildings insurance.  We issue certificates of sweeping after we complete a job.

All Wilkins Chimney Sweeps are police checked and comprehensively trained, including Ladder Association training in the safe use of ladders and ladder placement. We work to the codes of conduct and practice stipulated by our industry body, APICS (Association of Professional Independent Chimney Sweeps).
